Am I the only woman embarrassed by Hillary Clinton running as the woman’s candidate, the potential first female U.S. President, going out on the campaign trail and declaring vote for me and my husband will handle the money stuff?

This in truth is what she did. At a restaurant in Ashland Kentucky in the first week in May she told a group of potential supporters “I’ve told my husband he’s got to come out of retirement and be in charge of this, because you know, he’s got more ideas a minute than anybody I know”. A week later still in Kentucky she said “My husband who I’m going to put in charge of revitalizing the economy because, you know, he knows how to do it”.

This is the same woman who is selling the bubblegum pink Official Hillary for America Woman Card on her website which can be yours for a donation of just $10.

The same woman who guaranteed that her cabinet should she be elected would be fifty percent female – no qualifications needed.

The same woman who says if you elect her she will make sure that women on her watch will make equal pay with men – regardless of the fact that the female staff of both her past senate office and her current family foundation make less than their male counterparts – in contravention of a 1963 law passed by Congress requiring equal pay.

And the same woman whose surrogate Madeleine Albright threatened women voters with hell if they did not support and vote for Hillary Clinton.

This woman who accused Donald Trump of having a “penchant for sexism” after he said she was “schlonged” by President Obama during the 2008 election actually stood up in public and implied that she, a woman, could not handle the economy herself as president and would be relying on her husband to be the economy tsar for her historical administration.

Am I the only one cringing?

Never mind that the solid economy of the late 1990s was not the result of Bill Clinton’s personal business acumen – the tech boom, which later burst helping to create a recession, may have had something to do with it.

Never mind that Bill Clinton’s reputation around town is that of a serial groper and despite what CNN, CBS, MSNBC and ABC say, Juanita Broderick’s story of rape at the Camelot Hotel in Arkansas when Bill was Attorney General was denied but never discredited.

A woman who has held herself up to be qualified to be president by virtue of 8 years in the White House as First Lady, 8 years in the U.S. Senate and 4 years as Secretary of State has said straight out that she cannot handle the rigors of the Department of Commerce and the Federal Reserve and needs a y chromosome to back her up.
